Alcohol Sensor
ProductsAlcohol Sensor
The GT-MQ-303 alcohol sensor based on MQ-303 module that detect alcohol concentration in the air up to 1.5 meters. The sensitive material in the MQ-303 gas sensor is SnO2, which has a reduced conductivity in clear air. When the target alcohol gas is present, the sensor's conductivity increases in accordance with the increase in gas concentration. The MQ-303 sensor has a high sensitivity to alcohol and is resistant to fuel, smoke, and mist contamination. Based on the amount of alcohol in the system, this sensor produces an analog as well as digital resistive output with GPS tracking. We Are Also OfferInnovative Integrated Systems Padlocks (Portable GPS Tracker Lock)ADAS/(DMS)GPSAdvanced Tracking and Remote Monitoring for High Value Mobile Assets Intelligent Remote GPS Lock GL600 is a sophisticated tracking and asset management applications, provides enhanced functionality,Fleet cameras with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) can revolutionize your business operations. What is an Alcohol Sensor?
An alcohol sensor is a device that detects the presence of alcohol in a person’s breath. It measures the concentration of alcohol and provides an output that indicates whether alcohol is present and its approximate amount.
How does an Alcohol Sensor work?
Most alcohol sensors work by using semiconductor oxide sensors or fuel cells. When the user exhales into the device, it analyzes the breath sample and reacts with ethanol to produce an electrical output that corresponds to the alcohol level in the breath.
What is the main application of Alcohol Sensors?
Alcohol sensors are primarily used in breathalyzers for law enforcement, workplace testing, and personal safety. They are also utilized in automotive applications, like vehicle interlock devices, and in industrial environments for safety monitoring.
Is an Alcohol Sensor accurate?
The accuracy of an alcohol sensor depends on its type, quality, calibration, and conditions under which it is used. High-end devices, like fuel cell-based sensors, are more accurate and provide consistent results. Regular calibration is necessary for maintaining accuracy.
What are the types of Alcohol Sensors?
Semiconductor-based sensors (typically less expensive but sensitive to temperature changes and cross-sensitive to other substances).Fuel cell sensors (more accurate and reliable, typically used in professional devices).Infrared sensors (used in some specialized applications).
Can the Alcohol Sensor detect alcohol in substances other than breath?
Generally, alcohol sensors are designed to detect ethanol in the breath. However, certain industrial-grade sensors may detect alcohol levels in liquids or vapors depending on their application
